1. Either will work fine2. You want a good thick layer. I'd do at least 2 and string the bow into reflex whislt applying the sinew.3. I'd start at 1 3/8" if bend through the handle and first rate...

I don't know about osage. But I make bows with you data and only put rawhide on back. 1 1/4 is fine, 56" is fine, handle don't need to bend.So if you don't need sinew, dont use it. If you need put it...

Leg sinew is good and I would go with at least 3 courses. 1 1/4" wide is also good, the extra width will add a bit more stability. Thickness is determined by several factors. You could go shorter but...

What Marc said-I wouldn't go under 1 1/4" wide, I would make it wider than that myself, I've popped a couple of those narrow sinewed shorties, so the sinew won't make it completely indestructable. One...
